Happy Birthday Gemma

It’s our beautiful Birman Gemma’s birthday and she has turned two.  I had originally planned a little afternoon tea with a few friends here at home to celebrate, but that of course can’t happen during these Lockdown times.

We had a bit of extra excitement when we took delivery of our first foray into Lockdown shopping.  This took us a while to organise,  lots of time on the lap top,  and we finally found a spare delivery spot, a week later than when we placed the order.

Home delivery

It was all very well done, we thought.  The delivery man dropped a carton at the door, then went back for the perishables, milk, cheese, fresh meat and frozen items.  These were transported in chilly bags and packed with ice bags, we were assured.  That’s good, I did wonder how these items would be dealt with.  Everything was soon unpacked and put away, and Gemma decided to check to make sure that we hadn't forgotten anything.

Happy Birthday Gemma - it’s been a fun two years.

Happy Birthday, Gemma! Happy to hear your grocery order arrived without any problems. Last week, I drove to the store to pick up my online grocery order. The young man brought my order to my car and put the groceries in the trunk without any contact with me.

Lovely pix of Gemma! I cannot imagine having to shop this way - takes lots of planning. We're fortunate to live in a small town and can shop in the supermarkets, following the rules of course.

Total joy like we didn't know was possible, for a simple thing like a grocery delivery. I tried for ages to get a slot, and now think I have mastered the fine art of a click and collect. Happy Birthday Gemma, enjoy whatever type of celebration you can have, and enjoy some goodies that might have come in the Red Van.XXXX

Happy Birthday to Miss Gemma! I didn’t realize she was so young! She is a cutie, and I always enjoy her antics. We haven’t tried online grocery shopping, but I’m getting curious to try it. Stay safe and healthy!

I used to do all my grocery shopping online, when I was still living in the UK.
It is very convenient at this time. I do prefer to visit the store though.

Happy Birthday to Gemma.
The grocery home delivery system seems to be working well. I am currently waiting for ours. It is due in the next hour. It worked well when we did it a fortnight ago.

Happy birthday Gemma. Where has that time gone? I’m glad you were able to navigate the home delivery maze.
