There hasn't been a lot of stitching happening lately, but I have been knitting. First up is some socks, and guess what – why knit one pair when I can have two pairs on the go at once. I’ve got up to the heels on this burgundy pair, using up the odds and ends of this lovely 4ply Zauberball sock yarn.
4 ply socks
Th second pair I’m knitting is much thicker, triple knit 12 ply socks. I’m using 4 ply sock yarn together with double knit yarn, to make cozy winter socks. Gemma thought they looked pretty good, when she sat down to inspect them. I’m up to the heels on this pair too.
Thick winter socks
But wait – there’s more. I've just completed knitting some dish cloths using Chunky knit Microfibre yarn. Each ball yielded 2 dish cloths, so I was pleased with that.
Just finished the dish cloths
And with the small scraps of yarn left over, I made a “spider” for Gemma to play with. Yes, she loves it, and happily chases that incy wincy spider when he is dangled in front of her.
Made for Gemma

Your toes will be toasty warm in those socks! We are heading into warm sock weather here.
You have a nice variety of projects there. Lucky Gemma to have a new toy.
socks and dish cloths, wonderful things to knit. How was knitting with the micro cloth fiber/yarn? I have seen it but not tried it
Haha that yarn spider is so funny. Good for you knitting those socks..
What a great use for left over bits of yarn. Lots going on with you last week.
Both pairs will be nice and cosy.
Gemma will like her new toy.
Pretty socks! Knitting two strands of sock yarn will make cozy winter socks. Love Gemma’s new toy!
More beautiful socks, and a clever toy for Gemma!
I am just fascinated by knitting ( not something that I have learned to do yet) . Your projects look amazing. Such yummy fibers that you are using. I love knitted and crocheted dish cloths. I can never get enough of them. Super cute spider - Can't let the scraps go to waste. Have a beautiful day.
Love the colour of your new knitting and great dish clothes too!
Pretty and cozy socks and those dish cloths looks to be very useful. Gemma's toy are super cute and I am sure she is having fun. Have a wonderful week, Jenny.
You knit the prettiest socks! I really love the pink and purple pair. Those look like handy dishcloths, too!
Such a variety of interesting types and colours of yarn!
Thanks for linking up to Slow Sunday Stitching!
I had to frog the sock I was crocheting as it seemed too large. I want to try to make socks again soon. Maybe I will try a knitted pair. I really like the brightly colored pair.
Toasty warm toes this winter for sure. I love the colours.
God bless.
So pretty and cozy socks! I didn't know there was microfiber yarn. It must be the perfect yarn for cloths. I have to check if it exists in Norway as well. I haven't heard of it before.
You have been busy with the needles. great results. Those socks look wonderful.
I admire those who can knit socks. It’s on my “I’d like to learn one day” list. Beautiful work!
