Slow knitting time

There hasn't been a lot of stitching happening lately, but I have been knitting.  First up is some socks, and guess what – why knit one pair when I can have two pairs on the go at once.  I’ve got up to the heels on this burgundy pair, using up the odds and ends of this lovely 4ply Zauberball sock yarn.

4 ply socks

Th second pair I’m knitting is much thicker, triple knit 12 ply socks.  I’m using 4 ply sock yarn together with double knit yarn, to make cozy winter socks.  Gemma thought they looked pretty good, when she sat down to inspect them.  I’m up to the heels on this pair too.

Thick winter socks

But wait – there’s more.  I've just completed knitting some dish cloths using Chunky knit Microfibre yarn.  Each ball yielded 2 dish cloths, so I was pleased with that.

Just finished the dish cloths

And with the small scraps of yarn left over, I made a “spider” for Gemma to play with.  Yes, she loves it, and happily chases that incy wincy spider when he is dangled in front of her.

I am just fascinated by knitting ( not something that I have learned to do yet) . Your projects look amazing. Such yummy fibers that you are using. I love knitted and crocheted dish cloths. I can never get enough of them. Super cute spider - Can't let the scraps go to waste. Have a beautiful day.

I had to frog the sock I was crocheting as it seemed too large. I want to try to make socks again soon. Maybe I will try a knitted pair. I really like the brightly colored pair.

So pretty and cozy socks! I didn't know there was microfiber yarn. It must be the perfect yarn for cloths. I have to check if it exists in Norway as well. I haven't heard of it before.
