My Favourite Colour - I Love Blue

This month the colour for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge is blue, my favourite colour, shades of light and bright blue this month.  When I go shopping for clothes I always check the racks for items in blue.  Boring for some perhaps, but I’m always happy wearing this colour, which reminds me of summer skies,  with perhaps a little pink or lilac occasionally.  With a busy month planned, I got on with my RSC sewing early and can tick this off my “to do list”.  I pulled out some more selvedge strips and completed my two Asterisk blocks.  I love how these are coming together, but have to admit, I’ll still got a bag full of selvedge strips left.

Then I made some pretty blue Bow Tie blocks, nice and easy to stitch, together with the bonus HSTs.

This is my first year taking part in Angela’s Rainbow Scrap Challenge, and I’m really enjoying it.  So much so that I’m trying to decide what blocks to make for next year.  But I’m getting ahead of myself, I’ll have to get these two projects completed first.  I’m sure they are going to look lovely when I get all the different coloured blocks assembled.

Wow! You are on the ball! Lovely blocks. They will look good when they are all together. I'm trying to decide what to make next year too. I had wondered if I would take part this year, as how many rainbow coloured quilts do you need, but I really do enjoy it, so will come up with another one for next year.

Blue is by far my favorite color. My fabric and yarn stashes have more blue than any other color. Perhaps I should get out of my comfort zone, but blue makes me happy.

Your light/bright blue blocks look really good. This is my first stab at the RSC Challenge too and I keep seeing others' project and, like you, I'm dreaming about my next year's block challenges. So much fun!!!

All your blue blocks are delightful! I’d did 3 bow tie blocks yesterday, Monday. Not in time to post for Scrap Happy Saturday, but next week!
This week I’ll be working on blue Scrappy Sprouts and cutting out pieces for a baby quilt!

I like those asterisk blocks a lot - is there a pattern or did you make it up?
