I've been slow stitching on my pair of elephants for my Noah’s Ark stitchery project. Such magnificent animals indeed. Now this block is completed, I only have one more block to do, so that’s exciting.
Elephants, walking two by two
Goodness knows how I’ve come to be working on three pair of socks at the same time! This is all secret knitting for gifts so I’ll have to keep knitting away. Guess all this knitting cuts into my hand stitching time, but never mind, variety is the spice of life, so they say. As a quilter, I’ve always had multiple projects on the go, so I guess it’s not so different with knitting projects. I like to tell myself, I’ll get there in the end!

The elephant block is really cute! Happy knitting!
Love the elephants with there linked trunks!
The elephant embroidery block is wonderful - well done!
Enjoy your sock knitting!
The elephants are so cute! And I love the socks. I don't knit anymore but I do crochet and a long long time ago I bought sock yarn and a book on crocheted socks but all still sits in a tote bag. Maybe one of these days. I am always inspired when I see socks in process!
Such pretty wool in your sock projects. It’s good to get gifts ready well in advance, especially knitting and slow stitching gifts!
The title of your post made me smile. I started picturing elephants in socks. Your elephants are beautiful. I wonder what the next embroidered block is. I love the patterns/yarns you are using for the socks. Enjoy all of your needlework!
PS. The elephants are adorable!
wow so many pair of socks! And I have trouble with one project!!
How fun! Love your stitching. I wonder where I could find this pattern? Have a wonderful day!
Those elephants are a sweet design, Jenny! I like how their trunks are touching, and the quilt on the one's back. A pair of your hand-knit socks would be a lovely gift!
I always have knitting on the go...it is good for the evenings if I don't want to stitch hexies. Not sure what I will do when those hexies are done!?! Many projects keep us going!!
The elephants are darling, Jenny. I can not wait to seeing the Noah's Ark blocks all together. Those socks are going to be warm and cozy and nice gifts. Enjoy your day.
As always, beautiful socks and stitching. I still haven't come across my stitching on that project. Hope you have a great week!
Awesome elephants. Can't wait to see the Noah's Ark project. Absolutely, one step at a time will get you to the finish line. Just keep on doing!!!
Great elephant block there.
Wow, three pairs of socks... I am lucky to work on one knitting project at a time.
God bless.
that elephant duo is so adorable--I am so looking forward to seeing your Noah's Ark quilt put together...I am still recuperating from the applique whirlwind!! Enough of that for a while...
Tomorrow I hope to finally set up Helga for machine quilting...First up will be my Christmas table runner...Christmas in July for me ;))) hugs, Julierose
I need to find a friend that would teach me to make socks. These socks look so pretty and just look so comfortable. I love having my feet warm and cozy :) You're so talented!
Of course you will finish all your socks. They will be very welcome gifts. The elephants look good. You are doing well to be nearly finished the blocks
Lovely Elephants 🐘 🐘 stitched two by two…
And then three pairs of socks 🧦 🧦 🧦 On the go too!
Enjoy!
I'm always a big believer in multiple projects, whether that's several quilting projects, or knitting projects, or embroidery projects going at once. The greater the variety, the better! As you said, they'll eventually get done. Those elephants are sweet. And yay for getting a head-start on socks as gifts!
