It was wet, cold and rainy morning on Sew Wot Tuesday, but it is mid winter after all. Sandra was our hostess, and had a warming fire glowing bright in her sitting room to welcome us. Only four Sew Wots in attendance this time, the others were unable to make it.
Carol introduced us to Scotty McScarecrow, a rather handsome red headed Scot dressed in his kilt and tammy. Yes, we couldn't resist a peek under that kilt, and he had a very smart pair of underpants on, guess he was feeling the cold too. Carol declared that Scotty was not really a toy but was staying with her in her home, soon to be joined with a female partner.

Sandra had been busy knitting too, and had made a lovely basket weave cot blanket to be donated to the Plunket Society.

I had some show and tell as well, and had taken along my recently completed blue pussy cat quilt, and a little green and purple draw string bag, both to be donated to Foster Hope. I’d also collected up a few items looking for new homes, what wasn't wanted will be donated to the Op Shop.

Delicious smells were wafting from the kitchen, and morning tea was served. The grilled cheese and bacon on toast went down a treat on such a chilly morning, along with sandwiches and jam roll. And nice hot cuppa too.
There was knitting going on, and I was working on a stitchery project, so we were busy little bees indeed. Thanks so much Sandra, for a lovely morning.

sounds like you had a perfect morning with friends -
I am so glad you had a meeting with friends. It sounds like you all had a lot of fun during Sew Wot Tuesday.
Sounds like a great busy, fun time.
This sounds like a wonderful gathering of lady friends. Your projects are so pretty and I love that they will be finding new homes and bringing comfort to ones in need. What better way than a blanket or quilt to show your love. It's like giving a warm hug :)
The perfect way to spend a cold winter morning!
Looks like you gals had another lovely get together--the food looks delicious, too...
i am like a broken record here--but it is SUPER HOT and humid, too. I was able to slip out early on today and get my hair cut--so that at least feels good. AC for us...for the
forsee-able future ugh. We are wondering if we will get storms soon because of heat build up...hopefully Take care and enjoy your sewing hugs, Julierose
What a lovely way to spend a cold and wet day. That luncheon looks very tasty.
God bless.
Always lovely show and tell.
Your sew wot meet ups are always such fun and I love the show and tell. The food looks delicious.
What a fun time together with stitching friends! I enjoyed seeing your show & tell! And the treat looks delicious!!!
Such a lovely way to spend a chilly day. It's great that you regularly get together to stitch and chat with friends. Carol's Scotty is adorable, and I can understand why she wants to keep him. I'm looking forward to seeing Scotty's gal... what might her name be? Oh, I know... Shona! :-) As always, I think it's very nice that you and Sandra make things to donate. Such generous makers you-all are!
