Two Finishes to Show

Last week I did some slow stitching embroidering a camping theme design on a tea towel for our caravan.  And this week I’m pleased to say that it has been completed.  Camping in a wood, beside a lake, with a camp fire crackling to make the early morning coffee, and the sun rising over the hill – sounds idyllic, doesn't it?

Although the stitchery is finished, I plan to add a band of coloured fabric to finish it off.  Shouldn't take too long, I expect.  The transfer is from Stitchers Revolution Camping Adventures.

My other finish is a little babies jumper.  The knitting was finished a while ago, and I’d only just got around to sewing it up.  Many thanks to Dot who crocheted some button loops on the back shoulder seam for me, and thanks also to Eileen who gifted me the pink “eyelash” yarn some time ago.  This will be another one for my great-nana box  for future arrivals.

Jenny, your description of a little camping holiday in the woods does indeed sound idyllic. I would imagine you have camped in many places such as this when you board your campervan and holiday. The tea towel stitcher is sweet. How gorgeous is the little baby's jumper. The eyelash pink yarn is a fabulous addition.

A perfect tea towel for your caravan! I wonder which one you will stitch next? The little sweater will be like a warm hug from great grandma someday. Very cute

Oh Jenny! Such sweet finishes! I adore that camping embroidery. It does look cozy and inviting... and we don't even camp! But now you have me itching to embroider again. It's been a long while. As for the little sweater/jumper, I sure hope you get that great-granddaughter you're wishing for, someday. It's too adorable for a wee one not to wear it!

Great finishes Jenny. I miss camping. Lucy and I went camping in February 2020 with our guides and there has been nothing since.

Two cute finishes.
The baby jumper seems to be cozy, soft and warm, and I like the camp theme you stitched, it will be perfect with a band of coloured fabric.

The sweater is adorable, especially with the eyelash yarn. Food cooked on an open campfire is divine.
