It’s been a lovely warm Spring day today, just right for a couple of hours slow stitching outside under the Archgola. I’m big stitch quilting my New Zealand Botanical quilt, but haven't touched it for ages, so it was good to get a little more done today.
A little slow stitching
Gemma came out and kept me company and after sniffing around to make sure that things were are they should be, she jumped up on the seat and settled down next to my bag.
Gemma enjoying the nice Spring weather
Although I didn’t complete the block I was working on today, I don’t think I’ve blogged about these two quilted blocks yet. The Puriri Wreath in pink, and Alpine Buttercups in yellow.
These two blocks were completed a while ago
There is nothing nicer than being outside in the fresh air, under cover, stitching and a cuppa to hand, with Gemma relaxing by my side. It was a very pleasant Sunday indeed.

You're having a very productive week, wish I could say the same! I'd crocheted a small blanket for each of my granddaughters for their dolls but when I took them home the youngest one decided it was too small! She didn't want it for her doll but to replace her cwtch blanket that she'd grown out of so now needs it at least four times bigger. And of course what one has the other wants the same! I had hoped to be getting on with the next project but that will have to wait!

Absolutely beautiful. I am a big fan of hand quilting and you inspire me.
How wonderful to sit outside and stitch, enjoy birds singing, and with Gemma at your side. Love the quilting you've done on the two blocks.
Oh I agree--it is sunny here, too; but we haven't been sitting outside much with the EEE mosquito virus rampant here in our part of the State...;(((--
but it is nice to see the sunshine after all our gray days lately...I hope to put together my Turkey-Lurkey reverse side today--hugs, Julierose
So wonderful that you could enjoy such a lovely setting for some Slow Sunday Stitching... thanks for linking up and sharing it with us!
Ah, yes... fresh air and stitching! What can be better?
Your stitching is gorgeous and stitching outdoors is wonderful. Very pretty project
What perfect day - sunshine and stitching. The quilting is looking good.
It is enjoyable to slow stitch outside. In my corner of the world in North America, outdoor stitching days are coming to an end and yours are just beginning. Enjoy!
It's a lovely post. Your kitty is beautiful!
Here it is Monday. Hope you have a great week.

It’s a hard life, but someone’s got to do it.
Just look at you and Gemma basking in the sun. How fabulous to enjoy all that warmth and sunshine and stitch happily away. Your Puriri Wreath in pink, and Alpine Buttercups in yellow are beautiful. This quilt is going to be a vision splendid. Enjoy your quilting.
