Sadly, not a single finish and just a little time working on my craft projects this last couple of weeks. I picked up some sort of nasty lurgy from my recent coach tour and after two seeks I'm still not over it. Cough, cough, coughing, generally in the evenings, and luckily I'm no longer trying to sleep propped up on pillows at night. But I am feeling tired so need a Nana Nap most days. Would you believe I have purchased three different types of cough lozenges - two from the chemist and one from the supermarket. One lot tastes awful, the second one is very strong and irritates my throat, and the supermarket variety tastes the best! And I'm drinking hot lemon and honey too, that's quite soothing.
Cough lozenges, take your pick
I did venture out to a craft afternoon during the week, and did some more hand quilting on my teddy bear panels. This was going free to a good home donated by one of the Sew Wot ladies some time ago and the quilting had been started so I took the teddies home with with. There's only a small amount of stitching to finish on these, and my idea is to make three teddy cushions for donation.
Teddy bear panel
I've done a small amount of machine stitching, but nothing much to show. And a little knitting in the evenings, a few rows here and there. There are two projects on the go, a little toddlers cardigan in the brown hand spun wool, and yet another pair of socks, of course.

The hidden lurgy !!! A choc fish is sure to be healing and love those teddy panels.
I hope you're feeling much better soon.
Jenny, I love nanna naps even when I'm not sick. I'm sorry you caught the dreaded lurgy; I hope you are feeling better soon. One has to watch those cheeky chocolate peppermint marshmallow fish jumping into bags. =) Those teddy bear blocks are cute. Please take care.
Aww I am so sorry to hear you have been under the weather, Jenny. It is hard to find a good lozenge nowadays that does the trick to soothe the throat and quieten the cough. Have a blessed day and hope you start feeling better. Hugs.
Hope you are much better soon, I am sure the choc fish will helo!
Oh no! so sorry to hear you picked up a bad bug. Glad you are feeling a bit better. A spoonful of honey helps the throat, I have found. Those teddies are adorable. The asparagus looks yummy and the chocolate fish made me smile! I miss hanging clothes out on the line.
Sorry to hear you're not feeling your best. What works best for me when I am stuffed up or coughing is a hot bath with eucalyptus oil. The vapor of the oil works slowly but it's very effective. Love the bear panel. Marshmallow and chocolate: Mmmm! What's not to love? Get well soon. ;^)
Sorry to hear that you're under the weather. Those spring colds are the worst. Stay warm and keep knitting. (I tend to put a half jigger of whiskey in my honey and lemon and tea. It cuts the phlegm a bit.)
I'm so sorry you've been sick! Maybe the warming weather will help the lurgy go away. BTW thanks for teaching me a new word!
I'm sorry to hear you're still under the weather. Sometimes these things take a long time to get over, especially as we get older. At least you have some puttering work to pick up as the spirit moves you - hand work and knitting are good things, and can be restorative. Take it easy. Baby steps back to full good health.
So sorry you aren't well. Give yourself permission to relax and fight your bug!
OH my! How horrible to have this linger on so long. Your lozenges look so different from what we have in the States. I love a good tea when I am ill as well. So horrible to get sick from a fabulous trip. Please get better soon and return to your active self. ( I am jealous of your knitting. I love the repetitive stitching, but never can seem to get to the finished state. )
I know how you’re feeling as I had a terrible cough for over a week finally went to doctors for antibiotics, still took nearly another week to get over it.
Hope you’re feeling better soon.
Lovely to get to do some stitching and knitting.
Nice outing . Enjoy the choccie fish.
I hope you feel better soon. It is awful when an illness lingers. Those little bears are adorable. I like the yarn you are using for the socks. It sounds like your market trip was enjoyable.
I'm sorry you're not feeling well, but was so happy to hear you're feeling a bit better! I'll have to try the hot lemon and honey. The teddy bear blocks into pillow will make someone a special addition to their home. Take good care and enjoy your nanna naps!
sometimes it takes forever to get rid of the cough doesn't it. Sometimes a spoonful of honey does the trick for me in the middle of the night
I hope you're starting to feel better this week, Jenny. Like everyone else is saying, I'm sure those chocolate fish will help, especially dark chocolate! Knitting and hand quilting seem like the perfect projects!
Sorry you are still not feeling great, hopefully there will be an improvement over the next week.
I think turning the teddy bear blocks into pillows is a great idea.
God bless.
There are lots of nasty bugs going around here too. I prescribe chocolate --it helps whatever ails you, for sure!
You will sew when you are ready. I love my ginger and lemon tea when I’m unwell.
