Pink is the Rainbow Scrap colour of the month, so it was time to get stitching on my RSC blocks. I found a pretty pinkish scrap laying around, just the thing to use in my baby quilt. Quick and easy, they were done in a jiffy.
Four blocks done
Then I laid the blocks out on the floor, to see how they all looked together. Coming along nicely, with those pretty soft colours. I like the way the colours march down the quilt, pink, green, red and blue so far. This will be 25 blocks, so only a few more colours needed.
Baby quilt blocks
The second lot of RSC blocks I'm stitching is the same design but larger, using funky dinosaur fabric, for a boy's quilt. I didn't want to use pink, so cut some burgundy strips. Then I laid out the blocks on my design bed, to see how they all looked together.

The RSC is a wonderful way to make quilts for charity, one colour at a time. You are so generous with your donation quilts. Well done! We always get our vaccines too…an easy way to stay healthy.
Fun baby quilts on the go, Jenny, and probably fast, too!
Love this block, great for donations! Happy Easter and stay healthy :)
Love how that dino fabric piece is coming together, Jenny--really neat!!
We got our covid shots a couple weeks ago now and had just a little reaction...
our flue shots will be due in late Sept-Oct...
I hope you have a wonderful Easter...hugs, Julierose;)))
Such a simple block, but they make a great quilt layed out that way. I may have to steal that idea some time.
Your blocks are making a darling baby quilt and a fun more boyish kids quilt. Great idea!
we get our flu shots here every September late in the month and neither of us had the flu for years.
Both the girl's and the boy's quilts look great, Jenny! I too like the way the colors march down the quilt. Lucky kids that receive these!
We both had our flu injections, and for the first time a very sore arm for a few days. Those blocks are lovely, brights for a boy and paler for a girl. And you don't need much fabric to make them all add up for a quilt.
I love your blocks and the fun design they make when you lay them out that way, Jenny! Fall is the time for vaccines here, too, and I'm always happy to get mine when the time comes. I know there are some people who have reactions to them, but like you, I don't notice a thing!
It's looking so sweet! Love the subtle colors in the top one. It's relaxing.
Good, easy block to make. The dinosaur quilt will be just right for a boy
What fun quilts you are creating. I love the quilt on the bed too!
Glad you got vaccinated. A simple way to protect your health. Hugs.
Your quilt blocks are simple and effective. Both are gender-appropriate color schemes. Good for you to be making them. It's nice your vaccinations are free, and I understand about getting them. Neither hubs or I (age 73) have never had flu or shingles vaccinations. I will, if doc ever recommends it for me.
This is working out so well with both sets of blocks. Great way to use the dino fabric.
And a definite yes to the vaccines!
Great to make the RSC blocks into cute quilts.
