Our Daylight Saving has come to an end here in New Zealand, so it was time to turn the clocks back one hour. The clever lap top, tablet, and cell phone can all do it magically themselves. That left the kitchen clock, and the clock on the stove for me to do, I had a bit of tuition last year so knew exactly what to do. My bedside clock is a bit of a problem, so I just take the battery out and wait for the time to catch up, then reinsert it. There must be an easier way, so I think I should take the clock back to where I purchased it, just over a year ago, and get them to explain the secret. And last year I decided it wasn't worth trying to change the clock in my car, much too hard, so it is left on standard time all year. My theory is, by the time I'm ready to go out in the car, I'll know what the correct time is, so why worry.
My seasonal Autumn wall-hanging is now on display, I really like this one. Hand embroidered, and hand quilted, I've just checked the back to see when I made it. Oh dear, I didn't do a label, must do some checking and rectify that.
Welcome to Autumn
It's been a glorious Autumn day today, warm, calm and sunny enough to sit outside. I took my knitting, a quilt magazine to read, and a hot cuppa and spent an enjoyable hour or so relaxing. Still working away on my cotton summer jumper, I'm up to the armhole shaping now, so this project is coming along nicely. Gemma joined me outside for a while, she curled up on the bark garden, then decided she really wanted to get back inside again.

Sitting outside knitting and enjoying a cup of tea on a beautiful day…glorious! Enjoy your Easter treats. So nice of Colin to check in with you. Happy Easter.
Easter blessings, my friend! I sure understand about the time change. While ours occurred here in the US several weeks ago, an automatic clock we bought in the early 2000s still changes the time according to the pre-2007 date change. UGH! We have to manually change all our clocks - five, by my count, and that doesn't include our automobile or two golf carts - and then wonder on which date the bedside clock will auto-change incorrectly! Well that happened this morning, Easter morning. (That clock must be on the same date schedule that NZ is on.) Anyway... I really like your autumnal embroidery design, and yes, you must put a label on it. :-) Nice that you are indulging in a bit of chocolate according to your own tastes. I hope your Easter day was lovely.
Oh that clock dilemma --I have a bedside clock/radio that I have to change too and it is a tough one--it is very old--like me!! I hate to part with it though...
I love your Sunflower Autumn piece--so pretty, Jenny.
Those special chocs look so yummy--I have to be really careful with chocs as I tend to get migraines if I overdo..so none this year as I had a migraine recently...so I am "bunny-less" this year, along with you..:((((
Nice that your friend called to check on you--perhaps that teary-ness will help you to deal with your ongoing grief--sending good thoughts...
Happy Easter, my friend Hugs, Julierose
that was nice of your late friend's husband to give you a call and catch up - I imagine it is hard for both of you. But nice to reminisce of old times. Chocolate candy is the best. There are so many clocks and so hard to keep up on the ones that do need changing that don't do it automatically.
It is hard to lose an old friend, especially so close to Robin's passing. But that is lovely that her husband called to catch up with you. Sending you an Easter hug, Jenny! Enjoy that yummy chocolate!
Oh how I love beautiful days when I can take my cup of coffee and project outside to work on it. It's good for the soul. Glad you don't stress out about those clocks. I'm sure there's a button on there somewhere that you just poke with a pin or pen to change the hour/minutes.
Oh Jenny. I have the same problem about the clocks. It’s so nice to find another tradition to enjoy Easter. Those chocolates sound like a good idea. Nice to have a little phone call with special friends every so often.
Yes, changing those clocks can be tricky. I must admit to doing the same as you with the one in the car. We changed back this weekend, too.
I find it much easier when it is on a holiday weekend like Easter.
Your choice of Easter chocolate for this year looks delicious!
Thankfully we don’t have daylight saving so no clock changes….
Good to sit outside and do some knitting.
Nice Easter treat.
Lovely Colin gives you a call .
Enjoy your treat. No changing of the clocks here in Saskatchewan, but one of ours always decides to do so and so I need to change it manually.
God bless.
I'm always so grateful that the laptops and phones automatically update for the new times. They keep wanting to change it up here. So you are moving into your Autumn and the cosiest time of year. I think it was so sweet for Colin to give you a call. True friend. And peppermint chocolate would be a favourite of mine too. Take Care, J
Happy Easter!
