Plenty to celebrate on my Bloggerversary

Not only have I reached 150 posts on my quilt blog, (this is 151) I’ve celebrated my 65th birthday and given up work! So I’ve certainly had plenty to celebrate, don’t you think? To mark these milestones in my life, I would like to offer 2 lovely batik fat quarters to someone who takes the time to put a comment on this blog, purchased today from my local, Thimbles and Threads. These fabrics have a New Zealand flavour, with the colours reminiscent of our blue skies, deep blue sea, and our green coloured hills. I think they are lovely, but then I am a biased Kiwi. I will leave the draw open till after the weekend, and then will make a random draw of the winner. You’ve got to be in to win!

Congratulations - 150 posts is something to celebrate! So is turning 65, and so is retiring, so you can have three pieces of chocolate.

Congratulations........now you will wonder why you have no time....LOL.
I love the pale leafy one. I think I maybe have something like that in another color hidden deep in the stash.
Happy Blogging.

Glad you don't seem to be having trouble getting used to retirement! The fabric looks great put me in the draw please. How has Muffy adjusted to you being home? My cat Oscar is funny on long weekends, he runs around on the Monday telling us we have over slept and should be at work!

Congratulations Jenny on your retirement. I have enjoyed following your journeys through your blog. How wondeful now to be able to dedicate more time to your craft. Im envious as it will be at least another 20 years before I can retire.

Hi there

Congratulations on reaching a hundred and fifty posts.Congratulations on departing the work force too! I have recently retired and I'm just loving it. So nice not having to rush off to work. I am finally tackling some UFOs. I'm trying to get a blog together - perhaps I will have time now.

Cheers

Hi Jenny! I'm as pleased as can be to know you are retired and are now enjoying the good life. It MUST include a lot of quilting! Thank you for your lovely giveaway.

welcome to the retirees club. Don't think you will have more time because you won't. It won't take you long to ask 'how did I ever have time to work?' There are not enough hours in the day or days in the week, our calendar is full of outings, appointments, family and hobbies. Enjoy it. Someone called us retirees the 'Over the Hill Club' thats because life gets faster on the down hill run
